CASA COSTEA
ON THE TIMBERFRAME STRUCTURE

Casa Costea from Mogoșoaia is one of the successful projects we have been involved in, due to the very good relationship we still have with the beneficiary. Alex wanted a special house and Stefan from the Poster design office created it for him. In the first phase, we dealt with the structural design and we reached a technically and economically viable formula, but one that also meets the architectural requirements.

The factory production of the structure lasted about 2 weeks and the assembly 10 days. We went for a 45x200 mm timberframe wall variant, plated with OSB and insulated with 200 mm semi-rigid mineral wool and a 100mm basalt wool thermal system. The thermal resistance of the opaque thermal envelope is within the parameters of the passive house standard .

But the central element that highlights the Costea house is the roof structure, made up of prefabricated farms with multi-nail connectors. To leave the apparent trusses, we used visual class A lamellar wood and a floor lined and insulated with 300mm mineral wool.

The result was a spacious, warm and comfortable house, but also a very satisfied beneficiary, according to him: “I warmly recommend them! We built a wooden house in 2020 with them. The project I wanted was a little different from everything being built now. I tested the market and received offers from several wood builders and by far Miradex was the most involved. From the resistance project, continuing with the structure and quality of the wood, I can say that Mircea and Daniel were there with us until the end. Keep it up! ”
