PREFABRICATION TECHNOLOGY WITH MITEK CONNECTORS

WOODEN TRUSSES ASSEMBLED WITH MULTIPLE CONNECTORS

Wooden trusses are individually designed that provide a structural framework to support the roof. The trusses are prefabricated elements made of the highest quality: solid wood, sorted by strength categories, combined with multi-nail connectors and fasteners made of galvanized steel with MiTek technology.

The use of prefabricated structures for trusses instead of traditional ones offers advantages that place this technology in the top of the preferences of professional builders: it is an economical method for making all types of wooden roofs: residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial. In addition, strict standards for the design and manufacture of wooden farms ensure a higher degree of safety for the structure.

The construction system based on the use of prefabricated wooden farms according to MiTek technology, is suitable for any housing project: attics, uninhabitable or circulating trusses. It is also ideal for industrial, commercial or administrative constructions, with the ability to make large openings up to 30m, at very attractive prices.

BENEFITS OF THE MULTI-NAIL PREFABRICATION SYSTEM

Making wooden structures using new prefabrication technologies, offers clear advantages compared to rafter carpentry structures, highlighted by:

  • low wood consumption (up to 40% compared to the traditional structure);

  • very easy implementation and reduced execution time;

  • accuracy in detail - everything is done in the factory in a controlled environment;

  • very large openings (over 30m);

  • structural calculation according to EUROCODE 5 Wood and Romanian regulations in specialized software;

THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS OF MAKING PREFABRICATED WOOD STRUCTURES

1. DESIGN

The technical project is made in specialized software to optimize material consumption and to facilitate the production process

2. PRODUCTION

The wood is trimmed according to the project, the elements are assembled on the workbench, being subsequently prepared for transport. Quality control is ensured at the factory.

3. ASSEMBLY

It's very simple, like a lego game. Prefabricated elements are very easy to assemble with a crane. The workload on site and the execution time are considerably reduced.

MATERIALS USED IN PREFABRICATED STRUCTURES

The materials used and the production process of the project strictly comply with the requirements of MiTek and the European standard EN 14250 regarding the production of prefabricated wooden structures assembled with multi-nail boards!

  • Timber  - used is softwood, especially spruce, which meets the required mechanical characteristics - strength class C24. The wood used is carefully selected with a low humidity for installation, maximum 17%.

  • MiTek Connectors  – used in the production of industrialized farms are of MiTek production.  Multicui plates made of galvanized steel -3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

    • S280GD + Z275 NAC / MAC / MBC;

    • S350GD + Z275 NAC / MAC / MBC,   according to EN10143: 2006 and  EN 10326: 2004 or EN 10346: 2009, the minimum layer g of Z being Z / m2. The thickness of the sheet used to make the connectors varies between 1 and 2 mm. All types of MiTek multi-nail boards comply with the requirements of the European standard EN14545: 2008 “Wooden structures. Fasteners. Requirements ”.

The only permitted process to manufacture wooden trusses with MiTek connectors is by pressing. Any other means are forbidden!
